The night before our planned engagement session, Amarilys reached out worried about the weather and we chatted about new dates and locations. It’s Florida, after all. Even in November the rain can swing by in an instant. But, as you’ll immediately see in the pics below, not only did the sketchy forecast clear up, it was quite literally perfect weather: temperature in the 70s, sun shining bright and not a cloud in the sky. Add in this iconic Tampa location (which was a last minute change I was more than happy to accommodate!) and this session turned out to be a stunner.
Richard and Amarilys also read my engagement session guide and they looked beautiful with subtle matching colors — and Amarilys even got her engagement ring cleaned as the guide suggested!
I kid you not, after I snapped the first few pictures, I knew the session was going to be special. They went right into the next pose without any prompting and had this genuine laugh and energy about them that comes when there’s a true connection. Seriously, it was impossible to take a bad picture of these two and it’s how I ended up with nearly 1,000 photos to go through at the end of the session.
Using Plant Park in the beginning and then the eye-catching architecture of the Henry B. Plant Museum gave us so much variety. Add in perfect sunlight along with some new prompts from me to really get the smiles going and this culminated into one of my favorite sessions of 2021!
